Parent Notifications and Communications

Communication with parents is very important in Dickson County Schools. Parents are kept informed by several different methods such as automated phone calls, text messages, student information portal, social media and local news broadcasts.

Text Communications

To receive alerts and notifications via text message, parents will need to sign up for a Twitter account, add their cell phone number to the account, find and follow @DCBE. Be sure to set your notifications on your Twitter account to allow text messages from @DCBE to be sent to your phone.
NOTE: The Dickson County school system is not responsible for parent use of Twitter to receive messages. Dickson County Schools is not responsible for, nor supports setup or cancellation of Twitter notifications. Your subscription to Twitter and the @DCBE tweets is purely voluntary. For more information on how to sign up and follow @DCBE on twitter, click here.
